Compassionate, Quality, & Integrated Health & Human Services
The Shenandoah Count Free Clinic came about as a result of community leaders recognizing that many health needs of community members where going unfulfilled. The Shenandoah Community Health Clinic provides medical, dental, and behavioral health services to Shenandoah County residents who are at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, are uninsured or under-insured, and who are committed to improving the quality of their lives.
Mather Architects was tasked with renovating and existing nursing home to create a facility that would meet the needs of the Shenandoah County Community. The interior of the building was completely gutted to allow for a new dental suite, medical suite, and administrative offices. The parking area was expanded to allow for the volume of patients the clinic sees on a regular basis. We worked closely with the USDA to make the most of grant and federal funding.
