Established in 1982, Augusta Healthcare for Women provides OB/GYN services to Augusta and neighboring counties. In 2004, Mather Architects was engaged to develop a design for a new facility. Mather Architects developed a footprint and exterior elevations that gave the facility a distinct identity while weaving into the fabric of the surrounding buildings and design guidelines of the Augusta Health Master Plan.

Project Info

The interior layout and elevations were designed to be functional while avoiding the stark look of a traditional medical facility. Finishes and materials were chosen to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
