Our Goal
Mather Architects has served public and private clients across the state for 19 years. Striving to always offer our clients the best possible value. We do this by walking a delicate balance between cost, longevity, function, and attractiveness. Though our practice areas reflect a diversity of work and a deep understanding of a wide range of project requirements, we have established ourselves as experts at both ends of the age spectrum; designing award-winning buildings for public schools and senior living communities. In the latter category, we focus on improving care for dementia residents by creating spaces that maximize residents’ abilities, promote safety, encourage independence, and maintain quality of life.
We also have a growing portfolio of public/civic, commercial, and religious projects. In fact, we are versed in all areas of design and renovation. Earning a reputation for offering innovative solutions to complex architectural challenges. Most recently, we completed a civic project in the Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative Headquarters and District office in Mt. Crawford. This is a state-of-the-art facility that has set the bar for all other Electric Cooperatives. We often say that we think outside the box, but not so far that we begin the push the limits of the budget or the problem definition.
