Rebecca Penrod Named Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year!

Rebecca not only works tirelessly for the development of our firm but the entire business community throughout Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.   If you know Rebecca, you know she loves building relationships and being active in our community.  As a Harrisonburg native, Rebecca understands the unique dynamic we have here in Rockingham County and the greater Shenandoah Valley. She recognizes the importance of fostering and maintaining positive working relationships.  This is why you will see her happily give her time and attention to meeting new people and offering her help.

I was taught to offer and give help with no expectations in return.   My first thoughts in the morning are, “Who can I help?” ,and “How can I help them?” I have found that when I’m focused on helping others, what I get in return is far greater than anything I could have asked for from the beginning. I apply this same thought process in the business community as well.  I guess I just like connecting with and helping others in both my personal and professional life.

Her volunteer work as an Ambassador to the Chamber of Commerce is a natural fit for Rebecca.  2020 offered up a different environment as the face-to-face interactions came to a halt.  Rebecca, however, seamlessly navigated through the changing environment and continued to engage and be a champion for our business community and support our Chamber.  We are so pleased for Rebecca’s continuous efforts and offer her a huge congratulations!  Thank you, Rebecca, for all you continue to do for Mather Architects and our entire business community! Keep up the great work!
